Race report: round 4 Oulton Park

FP1:

My gear lever was in the wrong place when I came in to change it we couldn't get it in the right position so I only managed two laps in FP1.

FP2:

Was pretty much my first session whilst still on scrubs, just getting used to the rollercoaster Oulton is. We ended P20 after Pav made some adjustments with the suspension.

Qualifying:

We went out and had made a change with the gearing and managed to go quicker and move forward however it wasn't quite right so came in and discussed in our debrief to make some more changes finished P17.

Race 1:

We went out and I knew I had to make the first laps count I got up to P12 by turn 3 with everyone running wide and as I tried to cut back I ran into the side of another rider so I dropped back down to 16th and was in the battle for the points which I should have got away with the group ahead none the less I had a good battle with Aaron silvester and I managed to grab the last point bringing it home in 15th place.

Race 2:

As I didn't set the best of lap times in race 1 I started from 18th. I managed to keep a decent pace running in the points but I had a very bad slipping clutch and since then we found out that my clutch basket was cracked and everything was loose inside the motor with a oil leak out of the neutral sensor also - not ideal! We came in for the red flag and on the quick restart it was a 6 lap dash and I knew everyone was going to go hell for leather so I just kept doing what I was doing and just let everyone get loose Infront! Brought it home in P12!

Overall very happy with how the weekend panned out was so good to be in a battle again and having my elbows out! Hopefully with sorting all the problems out we will be back fighting fit!
