Really unfortunate weekend for us at Donington.
FP1 was wet and I was in P7 until the last lap, where I finished P9.
FP2 was dry but I had a few suspension issues and wrong gearing so slipped back to P16. I was disappointed in FP2 but I learnt a lot and made lots of changes on the bike ready for Qualifying!
Good Qualifying today went out on the new tyre so knew I needed to put a lap in early, was running P1 For most the session and knew I could go quicker as I was pushing for my fast lap I made a mistake and tucked the front into turn 1 🤦🏼♂️ will be out again again for morning warm up and race will give it 100% ✊
I felt strong all weekend and with a good set up I could push up to the sharp end thank you to Pav Steska Suspension Set Up for setting her up 👌 really disappointed that my results are not showing what we can do. However we know what we can do as a team and we need to keep our heads high for Brands and try and finish the season on a high.
After a crash in morning warm-up resulted in me getting stretchered off to the ambulance, I was passed fit to ride and I tried to stay positive for the race.
I started the race in 10th position and was in the fight for 8th, I dropped back to 12th and with the safety car coming out I was running out of laps to make up my positions. Then, going into the last corner I out-braked myself and ended up almost at the foggy esses. I rejoined and finishing in 18th place 😭 guess it was just not our weekend, I'm really looking forward to the final round at Brands Hatch.
Really not the result we wanted this weekend so sorry to the team, sponsors and supporters.
