FP1
We went out with the same settings from Oulton Park and it just wasn't quite right with gearing and set-up. None the less we were sitting in the top 10 and then towards the end dropped down to 15th position as I couldn't get the bike to work properly with the set-up. ✊
FP2
Started in the wet but with the brilliant work form Pav Steska Suspension Set-up, we managed to get it all sorted out. We put the work in and got it out to end in P5!
Saturday
Qualifying - cancelled due to weather conditions
Grid positions were chosen from fastest lap times from Friday which put me in P15, which was disappointing because I had a feeling good in the wet.
Sunday
Warm-up - cancelled
Race
It was a brilliant race! From starting 15th on the grid to make it up to 4th position on lap 1!! Was having a good battle with Rhys Irwin and Joe Talbot for 2nd position unfortunately half way through the race I made contact with another rider and got pushed onto a wet patch and as it highsided I clicked it into a false neutral and as it gripped there was no drive as I diddnt have a gear and it spat me off again, if I had drive it would have settled.
Nonetheless we take the positives we had the best performance we have ever had in the British Superstock 600 championship and was battling for the 2nd spot. After the hard work went in after oulton from Ash AH-Performance thank you so much for giving me a awesome bike!
Massive thank you to my dad Dale Beanz Thomson for smashing his hands up and still getting me to racing! I would never of got here without you!
